Toppers are probably my favorite katanas in the whole game - A meitou-grade Topper can deal 2.42x cutting damage and slightly ignore armor due to its slight blunt damage. The cannon feels tons better if you have the right skills supporting ur play style. Last is Hybrid using a little of both but not the best at either. Speed heat for spamming your beam (best used in multiplayer). The Topper is large, my character is just far larger… Volley for faster fire rate and damage focused less around beam spamming. A meitou-grade katana can deal x2.20 cutting damage and you’ll want to use this to KILL and not to spare. You can find them on bandits, special NPC’s, Samurais in the TGD, and pretty much… everywhere. Katanas are probably the most common weapons to find in the world of Kenshi. Nodachi swords hold some very distinctive features than the rest of Samurai swords. Wakizashi katanas are being carried sometimes by nobles in The Great Desert. Plenty of ninjas are equipped with this blade Tower of Ninjas, on Dimak(the meitou version). They’re still lethal though and designed to kill everything that moves! Ninja Blades look cool, they cut well and they fit in the secondary slot but are still being outperformed by standard katanas. Ninja blades can be found on Shinobi Thieves, Holy Nation Outlaws, Tech Hunters, UC Samurais, Empire Peasants, and like stated previously, pretty much EVERYWHERE. They do decent damage against light armor and still reasonably good damage against medium armor, but are kinda struggling vs heavy armor - at this point, you switch to the Topper!Īnd that’s exactly what we’re gonna talk about today - the best katanas in the world of Kenshi.
